To darkness fled takes the Christy

To Darkness FledCongratulations are due to Marcher Lord Press author Jill Williamson, who won the 2011 Christy Award in the Visionary Category for her second novel, To Darkness Fled.

You may remember hearing Jill's name announced at this same time last year. That's because she brought home MLP's first Christy Award in 2010 for By Darkness Hid, her debut novel, in the same category!

According to the Christy website, "The Christy Awards were started In the spring of 1999 when nearly a dozen Christian publishers confirmed the need for establishing a Christian fiction award to recognize novelists and novels of excellence in several genres of Christian fiction." They were named in honor of Catherine Marshall's novel to mark her contribution to the birth of modern Christian fiction.
