Konig's Fire, by author Marc Schooley, took home the 2011 Carol Award for Speculative fiction this weekend, announced at the American Christian Fiction Writer's Conference.
Jeff Gerke says:
"I was so thrilled and gratified to see Marc's book win. This is Marc's second book, and it seems like it's taken awhile for people to begin to 'get' how he writes. But I think it's brilliant, and it's fantastic to see other people recognize this. I also want to congratulate C.S. Lakin and Jim Rubart, the other two finalists in the visionary category, because they are great people and great writers, and I know their chance will come again. We're all united in this quest to expand the borders of Christian speculative fiction—to the place where themap ends, and beyond."
