Important Note

Until further notice, Marcher Lord Press acquisitions is effectively closed. I'm in an acquisitions freeze until I can dig out from the avalanche of wonderful manuscripts and proposals I've already received.

In the final months of 2009 I hosted Marcher Lord Select, an acquisitions event in which 85 authors were able to have their books or proposals reviewed for that contest. The winners have been announced and several other excellent runners-up were identified. I haven't even read most of those--much less all the others that competed and are still waiting their turn in line for my attention. Additionally, I have received over a hundred more proposals since then.

I'm simply not able to get to these, much less the ones coming in every day. One author inquired about her recent submission to me and I had to tell her it would probably be a year or more before I could get to her proposal. That seems awfully cruel to authors like her--or like you. So, rather than make everyone wait a year or more, I'm just shutting the door for now until I can get through the many proposals I currently have.

If you read all that and you still want to submit, go ahead and follow the instructions below. But please understand that, unless something radical changes soon, I will not be able to give it any attention for 12-18 months.

Thank you for your understanding. Praise God we have so many talented and committed Christian speculative novelists!

If you still want to submit, read on...

I've had several authors submit this form whose information has not
reached me. I believe the Bravenet forms processor I use has officially gone belly-up. Please go ahead and submit the form to me but also send me your answers in the body of an e-mail message. That way, we won't have to go through the drill where you contact me and tell me you've sent the form, I reply that it never came through, and you have to send me your replies in an e-mail (sometimes having to complete the form a second time). I need to get a replacement for my forms processor, but until I do, this will work. Thank you.
